Check your input in three steps

Start the microphone test and allow access when your browser asks. No access is requested before you start.
Speak at a normal distance and watch the level respond. Select your preferred input in browser or system settings.
Stop the test when finished. If you enable monitoring, use headphones to avoid feedback and keep the output volume low.

Why is there no input?

Check browser permission, your system input selection and the hardware mute switch. Close other applications that may be using the device, then try again.

Is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. This test processes your microphone signal locally in browser memory. The meter shows a relative digital level, not calibrated acoustic loudness.
